Having managed to navigate through the capital’s ever-changing electronic music scene for a decade, Hyponik‘s ethos of open minded musical interest and steadfast quality control has ensured that they remain a bastion of London’s vibrant underground in 2012. Eschewing temporary trends and surface level fashions in favour of quality music and fresh talent, they continue to champion only the most exciting emerging sounds. This Friday they are taking over Birthdays in Dalston to celebrate a decade in the game with an intimate friends and family affair, taking in some of the UK’s very best bass-led talent for what promises to be a special evening.

Headlining the night is a secret special guest and an artist who’s spanned the past 10 years of development, finding a home on one of the UK’s finest independent labels in the form of Hyperdub Recordings, providing the very finest bass inflections and UK funky mutations as standard. They will be joined by Blunted Robots boss and Rinse FM stalwart Brackles fresh from the success of his recent ‘Rinse Presents…’ LP. Renowned as one of the proficient DJs around, his set promises to expertly guide through house, garage, UK Funky and more with technical precision and creative flair. Further sets on the night will come from crate-digger extraordinaire Mr. Beatnik, rising talent Lakosa and the Hyponik residents.
